The Brief

Positioned within one of Dubai’s most coveted coastal addresses, this residence at the Bvlgari Resort & Residences on Jumeira Bay Island presented a rare opportunity — to design an interior that earns its place against an extraordinary backdrop.
Anara’s approach was grounded in restraint and material confidence. The interior was conceived to complement rather than compete with the panoramic marina and skyline views, drawing on warm natural materials and considered craftsmanship to create an environment of quiet presence.
The centrepiece of the living space is a bespoke fluted timber feature wall — a full-height composition of vertical oak slats framing a dramatic verde marble slab, backlit to reveal the full depth of the stone’s veining. Integrated open shelving and a floating sideboard complete the unit, balancing display and function within a single, unified element.
Throughout the residence, material selection follows a consistent logic: natural stone, warm timber, and soft neutrals — each chosen to age beautifully, read with equal depth in daylight and evening light, and hold their own against the scale of what lies beyond the glass.
